Learn Guitar Lessons Fast

There are a lot of lessons for guitars online, A few really good ones a lot of alright ones, and some that are just a waste of money and time.
It is a bad enough feeling when you get the product for guitar lessons and find out it is not put together well. It probably could be used but, why go about it the hard way. Especially if there is a easier way to learn to play guitar. Every one wants to learn to play guitar fast! If you learn fast, it is probably because you are a really good student or more than likely because of the ease of learning the guitar with quality lessons as discussed at www.learnguitarlessonsfast.com
When learning the guitar especially a beginner learning the guitar there are a few things that make it easier, for most people. One thing is learning guitar video or a DVD, or being able to download guitar lessons or burn the guitar lessons on a DVD, or print them out. The good thing about a guitar lessons video is you can watch it over and over, stop, pause, fast forward, etc. Watching the videos you can see how to hold your hands, how to move your fingers, the speed of your movement for a song, and hear what it should sound like.
With the combination of video and audio along with the capability to stop, rewind, pause it makes learning to play the guitar much easier than looking at a book, even if you understand everything perfectly…The video and audio puts it in the ear. Actually seeing a song played and hearing the song played brings the learning full circle. Most people learn faster with a visual, and when it comes to music…actually hearing it played makes a world of difference. I highly recommend learning to play guitar with videos.
I am a wannabe guitar picker from way back! I have tried lots of ways to learn guitar. When learning to play guitar it helps to see what helped others and made it easier for them. Maybe things that made it harder, and things you will experience and may have never even thought about! Mutual community benefit for the betterment of all guitar pickers! Enjoy and don’t be sky, Tell US what YOU think!

You Can Learn To Play A Guitar

A person can learn how to play a guitar without a whole lot of extra stuff. There are gadgets and a lot of bells and whistles you can purchase if you choose but the only thing that is a must have is a guitar.

Even this does not have to be one of the expensive models. There has been a lot of great music played on not so great guitars over the years. The important thing is the guitar you choose be in decent shape. The first item you need to check is the action of your guitar. The action is a term that guitar players use to refer to how high the strings are.

The action on your guitar needs to be set at a reasonable level. This is most important because if the action is too high the guitar will be hard to play and if it is too low the strings will buzz. The guitar should note even all the way down the neck.

Another important thing to check is to make sure the intonation is ok. To check this play the smallest string open then play it again at the 12th fret. The notes should be in tune with each other. If there is a big difference in the notes the guitar has some possible major problems.

When you are picking out your first guitar it makes little difference in brand name or whether the guitar is a classical or steel string guitar. The notes are the same so get the best guitar you can afford without getting crazy.

Learning to play a guitar brings a new set of problems you have most likely not experienced before. You will find muscles cramping and sore fingers coming along after you have played for a little while. You are using muscles normally used for other things so it takes a little time to condition these muscles to work with you.

As you play you will start to get calluses on the tips of your fingers. As you push down the strings this hard buildup on your fingers will help you out a lot. A person starting out on his guitar playing may find his fingers bleeding until the calluses build up.

To be successful in learning to play a guitar you will need to practice every day. Mastering this wonderful instrument takes a lot of time and energy. Practice until the slow clumsy movements become second nature. This is when you will discover the true rewards of playing the guitar.

Playing Fast Guitar – Learn Important Tips To Amp Up Your Playing Speed
Filed under: learn guitar

If you’ve been playing the guitar for awhile and can’t seem to get anymore speed on your licks, don’t worry because this happens to almost every guitarist. Some guitarists just have more time than others to hash out these skills while you’re left there wishing you could play faster.

As much as it might seem very difficult playing fast guitar, you can do it too by practicing hard and smart. Here are some very important tips to get your fingers moving faster the next time you’re scaling the guitar neck.

1. Strengthen your forearms. A lot of the muscles that power your guitar-playing comes from your fingers, but the rest comes from your forearms. Do a few exercises or start lifting to really get those muscles shaped for faster riffs.

2. Do other finger-intensive exercises. Playing fast guitar might be in your mind when the instrument is in your hand, but there are plenty of other things that can improve your finger movement throughout the day. Take up some other skills that involve intensive finger movement like typing or playing the piano in order to keep your fingers working hard.

3. Practice online typing tests. Sure you can test your speed on the guitar with a metronome, but have you ever thought about taking it to the internet? Hype up your typing skills and start using typing tests to measure the speed of your fingers because god knows how often we’re all on the computer these days!

4. Try to keep from cracking your knuckles. Cracking your knuckles can lead to medical problems in your hands and wrists once you get into your twilight years. Try to stop it if you want your hands to stay flexible and healthy for optimum playing speed.

5. Practice electric parts on the acoustic guitar. Maybe you have a couple riffs that you’re playing somewhat fast on the guitar. Transfer them over to the acoustic and try your hand. Your muscles will learn to adapt to the harsher conditions of the acoustic while the speed of playing on the electric guitar will slowly begin to increase.

6. Set reasonable speed goals. You can’t expect to reach goals that sound absolutely crazy and that’s most of the reason guitarists give up on themselves. Set goals that are challenging, but possible to ensure you stay on track with your skills.

It’s a hard business to start playing faster guitar riffs, but it can be accomplished by dedicating yourself to every practice and being consistent with your strategies. Put these 6 tips to the test and see if you can start increasing your guitar speed.
